Do You Know Me?

People keep telling me this picture doesn't look like me.  So now I'm putting it on the internet for all the world to see... Except most of the world won't.  Inconsequential!  It's still available to you all.

Christmas 2013

My parents made a snowman.  Not the kids, not the grandkids, this was made by my parents!  I have cool parents.

Footprints in the snow.

Our backyard is untouched.

Kissing reindeer.  Love will save them from peril...

I asked for a man for Christmas.  So Santa gave me a man.  Conveniently enough, he also gave me a valiant steed for the man.

My dad asked if I wanted to play checkers.  So we played checkers.  That's a big checkers set!

The Tide Turns

Once upon a time I lost my license.  A few days later I found it.  No biggie.

The next week I lost my cell phone.  I had to buy a new one.  It was good, I guess, because it gave me the chance to upgrade.  Still, it was rather inconvenient.

The next week I lost a glove.  By this time I started seeing a theme to my life.

This week I wondered what I would lose.  I guess technically the week isn't over yet.  My pattern could continue.

OR Today could have been a pattern breaker.  You see, I lost my glove last Thursday.  Today is Wednesday.  That's almost an entire week later. Guess what I found today!  That's right, my glove!  So instead of losing something this week, I found something!

Hence the tide has turned.

A Happy Flower

My goal was to clean my desk before the flower wilted so that I could take a picture of the happy flower saying hi to me.  It looks like I've failed.  The desk is now messier and the flower isn't quite as happy anymore.

The flower was given to me by a co-worker on a not-so-good day.

Flower, you shall be avenged!

I Got Smarter

Last week I lost my phone.  So I decided it was time to upgrade and I got a smart phone.

The first app I downloaded was Ingress.  The second app I downloaded was Gospel Library.  It's important for you to understand my priorities...

I might be being a little unsmart when it comes to Ingress.  I mean, a game which encourages me to walk around town alone - and it's usually at night that I find the time to play...

I like Ingress.  It's a nice distraction when things aren't going my way.

Oh, and the other day as I was playing Ingress, I got back to my car to realize I must have dropped my glove.  (Curses to the normal gloves with which you can't use smart phones).  I thought to myself, "Oh well, I took out an enemy portal.  It was worth it."  Yes, my friends.  It was worth it.  Because that's what life is all about - sacrificing the real things for the fake things.

I Like Pizza

To anyone who was looking for a golden nugget of wisdom today: if someone offers you food, and says you will hate it, you do not have to eat it to spite them.  They won't feel spited anyway and feeling sick isn't worth it.

For the record - the piece of pizza wasn't bad tasting.  I think it would have tasted better warmed up personally.  I blame it on the fact that I wasn't hungry for it.  And I was thirsty.

I won because I ate it, but I don't feel like I won.
